Jim Millar, FOUNDER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR, has collaborated with artists from Broadway to the Met. He has served as a consultant to the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society's Education Division and is a founding member of the Bergen Chamber Artists. This year, Jim will be conducting the New Jersey All State Orchestra in their first live concert since 2019. He was the music director of the Jersey Lyric Opera for two seasons, leading productions of “La Bohème” and “Un Ballo in Maschera." He founded the North Jersey Summer Theatre Workshop, which is now in its 23rd year, and is an award-winning director and music director. Teachers have included Wanda Paul, Bernard Rubinstein, John Browning, Carl Bamberger and Madeline Bruser. He holds BMus (piano) and MMus (orchestral conducting) degrees from Northwestern University.
